Ready Rooter is a family-owned plumbing, drain and sewer company based in Bellevue, Washington. BusinessRate named us the #1 Plumber in Bellevue for 2025 — an award built on real Google reviews from customers across King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.
Our crew has spent over 20 years clearing blocked drains, camera-inspected failing sewer lines, and replacing pipe under homes from Bellevue to Tacoma. Every technician who knocks on your door is a Ready Rooter employee, licensed and insured in Washington.
Meet the Family Behind Ready Rooter
Ready Rooter started when a group of drain and sewer specialists decided to build the company they'd want to call themselves. Mike and Chelsea Topete own it today, alongside co-founder Jim Hough.
Our crew handles clogged drains, sewer backups, sump pump failures and trenchless sewer replacement across the Puget Sound region — older Bellevue clay lines, root intrusion in Kirkland, slab leaks in Tacoma. Those are problems that need a camera and experience, not a guess.
So when you call, you get a technician who has seen your problem before. That's the difference.

Meet the Ready Rooter Crew
Mike and Chelsea Topete
Mike and Chelsea have always had a dream of providing the best service to people dealing with drain and sewer issues and knew that they, along with their longtime partners, Adam and Jim, could provide it better than any other company. Mike has provided top quality service in the drain and sewer service industry for many years and knows what it takes to get the job done right the first time. He always provides multiple options to fit his customers’ budgets because he knows that’s what he would want if he were in the same situation. He never hesitates to make sure customers can reach him so that there is communication every step of the way. Mike is a family man and father of 6 boys, so he knows how stressful a drain disaster can be on a busy family. Chelsea is a working mom and takes care of customer service and making sure our customers are taken care of behind the scenes and supports our employees to make their jobs easier. When Mike and Chelsea are not working, they like to be with their kids and hang out with each other on the patio listening to music or watching movies as a family.
Adam Kinder
Adam has over 18 years in the drain and sewer industry as a highly trained drain technician. He has provided 5-star service to his customers and always thinks outside of the box. He will make sure that he does everything to get his customers’ sewer lines in top working order. He has been a mentor to many technicians over the years and been a valuable asset to not only his customers but his colleagues and employees. He is also a family man and father of 4, 2 sets of twins! He is dedicated to providing his customers with quality work. In his spare time, Adam likes to do activities with his kids and is always up for something new.
Jim Hough
Jim has many years of success and expertise in the drain and sewer service industry just like his partners. He helps his customers by making sure they have the best options and the best team to get their job done right. Jim is a father to a daughter and soon-to-be grandfather. He is an excellent cook in his spare time and likes to use his smoker.
Why We're Different
Decades of drain and sewer work across King, Pierce and Snohomish counties taught our crew what actually fails here, such as root intrusion in older clay lines and bellied pipe under post-war slabs. Therefore we run sewer cameras, hydro-jetters and trenchless equipment rather than guessing. We finish what we start, too. Because subcontractors never touch your home, the technician in your driveway is a Ready Rooter employee we hired and trained ourselves.
